Site’s Objectives

Thanks for the visit.  Below are the website’s objectives:

1.) The purpose of this website is mainly for myself. It is a place where I gather quotes that strike out to me from my reading so I could go back to them later on and continue to think on them (it is easy to store them and organize them here by loci and copy and paste them to brothers, sisters, and friends to encourage them and myself.

Weird, tacitly I was doing what schoolchildren did in the distant past, I am not alone. Ryan Glomsrud quoting Ann Blair in Johann Heinrich Heidegger’s The Concise Marrow of Theology:

“In the Renaissance schoolchildren throughout Europe were taught to keep notebooks in which they were to record passages from their reading worth saving for memorization and later use…commonplace books were also used to gather arguments or factual information of interest to the individual or relevant to the discipline under study.” (xxi)

2.) Yet, if you are the 1 or 2 people that came across this site, I hope that you benefit from the quotes, and hope you plug yourself into a solid church that practices the pure preaching of the Gospel, maintains the pure administration of the sacraments, and exercises church discipline (Belgic Confession, Article 29)*
